AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca has been defending DUI (Impaired Driving) charges in Alberta since 1996.  With over 20 years of experience, the lawyers at AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca have represented over 1000 clients charged with DUI offences and have collected over 50 combined years of experience in the defense of Impaired Driving charges.

The founder, Robert Sawers B.A., L.L.B., started his legal career with the Attorney General of Ontario’s Special Prosecutions section.  Robert was later hired by the Department of Justice Criminal Prosecutions section, where he prosecuted mainly organized crime narcotic offences. Thereafter, Robert was hired by Alberta Justice and quickly developed a reputation as a tenacious prosecutor, particularly in relation to Impaired Driving (DUI) offences.

In 1996, Robert left Alberta Justice and went into private practice.  Since then, Robert has worked tirelessly to represent the clients of AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca.

In 2000, Robert was successful in attracting Paula Kay, B.A., L.L.B., to the team.  Together Robert and Paula have driven AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca to where it is today: a leader in the defense of DUI charges.  Today AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca continues to grow and add additional team members.  In June 2011, AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca launched its new website and in September 2011 they moved into their current premises.
