Paula Kay

Paula Kay joined AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca in 2000. Since then, Paula has represented hundreds of people charged with DUI (impaired driving) offences. She is now the Impaired Driving Group Leader at AlbertaImpairedDriving.ca.

Paula obtained an undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa, majoring in History and Political Science, and thereafter obtained her law degree from the University of Saskatchewan. After law school, Paula lived in Korea for a year, where she taught English and earned her Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Paula subsequently articled at Calgary Legal Guidance where she quickly distinguished herself as an unyielding advocate for her clients. After completing her articles, Paula was called to the Alberta Bar in 1999.

Paula has successfully represented accused persons in all levels of court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court of Alberta, Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and the Court of Appeal of Alberta. Paula has also successfully defended DUI charges in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Paula is now known as one of the top impaired driving lawyers in Calgary.

When she is not at work, Paula – a mother of two – is a community volunteer, avid traveler, outdoor enthusiast, and hockey player.
