WHO WE ARE
Thank you for consulting us with respect to your recent charges.
Many of our clients are first offenders, having never been
previously charged with a criminal offence. Many of our clients
rely on their licences to earn a living. Some have been previously
convicted of Impaired Driving and are now facing incarceration.
And finally, some of our clients are facing a charge of Impaired
Causing Death. We understand how important this matter is
to you and regardless of your personal circumstances, we will
fight tirelessly on your behalf.
Why Should You Retain Us?
Contrary to common belief, impaired driving charges are not
open and shut cases. Impaired driving law is one of the most
complicated areas of criminal law not only for Police and
Crown Prosecutors but also for Lawyers. You do not want inexperienced
or ineffective counsel “learning” on your case.
Bob Sawers, the principal of Alberta Impaired Driving.ca,
has practiced criminal law in both Toronto, Ontario, and throughout
Alberta and parts of British Columbia. Bob commenced his career
at the Crown Law Office, Criminal in Toronto, the Attorney
General’s Office responsible for Criminal Appeals and
Special Prosecutions. He then was hired by the Federal Attorney
General in Toronto, prosecuting, amongst other things, drug
related organized crime. Bob then was hired by the Alberta
Attorney General as a criminal Prosecutor in Calgary.
Bob now uses his skills obtained as criminal prosecutor to
provide his clients with optimum results. He has the experience
and effectiveness that you require.
Likelihood Of Success
As with any criminal matter, the likelihood of success is
dependant on the particular facts of each case. There are
some cases that are certain to result in a conviction. However,
the vast majority of cases have potential for success. To
date, our success on behalf of clients has been excellent.
Who We Are Not!
We are not a Referral Company being paid by lawyers to send
clients our way. We are lawyers who are prepared and eager
to tell you of our qualifications, experience and abilities
so that you can make an informed decision and make the right
choice of counsel.
To Our Clients
Why retain us?
• former prosecutor
• depth of experience
• varying fees
• success
We hope that you will consider retaining us, whether it is
to defend you at trial, or to represent you on a guilty plea
and sentencing hearing. We will do everything within our legal
power to defend you against your criminal charges. Once retained,
we make all necessary court appearances on your behalf , immediately
obtain and review disclosure and take all steps necessary
to actively and aggressively defend you.
Lastly, we would ask that you immediately write down everything
that you can recall regarding the circumstances surrounding
your charges. This will do two things: it will crystalize
your memory, and it will also assist us in defending you.
We look forward to hearing from you.
